N P Davies set up an agricultural contracting business in 1981. N P Davies main tasks were ploughing and small square baling with a Fiat 780 tractor.


In 1982 a new Ford 6610 tractor was purchased and mowing, turning and power harrowing were added to the portfolio.


N P Davies progressed on to purchase a Mercedes Unimog with 24 metre boom, followed by high output combines, self-propelled sugar beet tanker harvesters, big square balers and forage harvesters.


N P Davies has developed the business over the years and now has specialised machinery for specific enterprises and continues to offer a competitive and professional service. N P Davies employs many local staff who are competent and efficient with the machinery to complete a skilled and professional job. N P Davies has a large quantity of spare parts held for each machine in the large workshop for servicing and repairs.


N P Davies are members of the National Agricultural Association Contractors, from this N P Davies is kept up to date with ever changing legal legislation and industry requirements. To be an NAAC member N P Davies have been approved by the NAAC Council and operate within the professional guidelines, including using an approved level of insurance, giving the customer piece of mind.


N P Davies are members of the Maize Growers Association and therefore get regular updates through mailings and technical support which can be used to increase knowledge of maize and wholecrop. This can then be used to increase the yield and quality of customers feed.
